A few years ago, I had no idea what to get my husband for his birthday because he is the HARDEST person to buy gifts for. So inside of his birthday card, I wrote down a list of nice things I'd do for him, whenever he wanted, like coupons. He loved this idea and since then has always asked that the kids give him 'Coupons' for his birthday, Christmas, etc. Being that it was just Christmas, I got my man what he asked for, only I made it a bit more special than just a list on a Post It.
Using PicMonkey and iPiccy, I created personalized coupons from my two older kids to give to their dad for Christmas. I took pictures of both kids making silly faces and asked them what they thought would be fun activities to do with daddy. Ultimately, I created the outline of the coupons, but they sat with me and helped make them original and unique.
This is a great gift idea for grandparents and friends, for birthdays, anniversaries or just for fun. We always make a special coupon book for Father's Day. Getting a gift card to a restaurant, the movies or any activity listed as a choice on the coupons could go with the coupon page or book. In the past, I've given a tie, a pair or socks, gum, and other goodies to accompany the crafty gift. I've used paper and printed at home, and made them by free-hand using scrapbook materials. However, this time I printed my coupons using a photo print site, like Shutterfly.
This is a quick, easy and inexpensive gift idea for anyone. It's thoughtful and whoever is receiving the coupons will love the chance to spend time with you or your little ones.
