5 Things... I'm Looking Forward To

It's Friday y'all and I'd be lying if I said we had nothing to do this weekend! I always think it's funny how some weekends are so jam packed full of birthday parties, soccer games and get togethers, while other weekends we are seriously looking for things to do with the kids. I must say I'd rather be out and about with the family, especially when the weather is nice.

With that said, here are 5 things I'm looking forward to in the coming weekend/week that make me feel like a kid again myself!
    1. Heidi and Lukas both have soccer games this weekend and even though they are scheduled at the same time {luckily right next to each other}, the pride I feel watching them run up and down the field is one of the joys of being a mom.

2.We have two birthday parties to attend this weekend and having the opportunity to hang with family friends, eat good food and have {some} adult conversation is always a good time and something I look forward to!
     3. My littlest man is turning the big ONE YEAR OLD! How did this happen so fast?! Man, a year sure does go by fast! And to celebrate we are...

     4. ...Going to Hawaii on Tuesday! And whereas the thought of flying with a new walker/explorer/toddler makes my skin crawl a little, nothing beats a family vacay under the sun and on the beaches of Hawaii.

     5. Not only is it Baby J's birthday but I also will be celebrating my 30th birthday next week! {What? And you thought we took our kids on island holidays for their birthdays! Ha!} I was so lucky to have my littlest on my special day, so why not celebrate two pretty important ages in style?

What are you looking forward to this coming week?? Let me know in the comments! And of course, have a wonderful Friday!

  1. Happy Birthday to you both! My daughter hits the Big One in 2 months and I just can't believe it! Also, the dirty thirty in November ;) We can commiserate together!

  2. You know, I am really looking forward to my son's soccer game this weekend. He really enjoys playing. Thanks for reminding me it's those things that can really brighten a day. #cc

  3. Happy 30th! It's really not so bad, but I am sure Hawaii will help anyways! Have a great time!

  4. Oh my, you have a lot to look froward to! What an exciting week you guys have! Enjoy every minute :)

  5. Happy birthday! I hope you enjoy your visit to hawaii. The weather has been amazing this past week.

  6. Whoa! Happy birthday and enjoy Hawaii! We went last year for the first time--I'd sure go back in a heartbeat!
