This is fantastic, thank you for sharing! The only one I have tried is coconut oil and it has worked wonders for my post-pregnancy dead hair! I will be pinning this for sure, always looking for ways to cut down on using products laden with chemicals.
ReplyDeleteI've used ACV before and I think I did a banana mask once. I loved the ACV the most. I also occasionally use a baking soda mask to strip away build up and sometimes I add kosher salt to my shampoo (also for buildup). I've been curious to try avocado. That might be my next one!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing! I've also tried baking soda but years ago! I've never tried the salt though...will have to!
DeleteOoh this is so interesting I would never think to put honey on my hair. Not sure if do some of the food ones out here too hot! X
ReplyDeleteThis is so great! ACV is amazing for my curly hair! I'll make sure to try the rest of these, though!

I've actually heard of using apple cider vinegar but will actually try it now. Interesting. And coconut oil...forget about it! I use it on my face, my hair and my cooking. That stuff is magic in a jar. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's what I say... Magic in a jar!!
DeleteHow would this be for curly hair?
ReplyDeleteAmazing for curly hair! Most will make your hair shinny and smooth...try the ACV or coconut oil mask first and see how that turns out!!

ReplyDeleteHave a great rest of the week!
I like the egg rinse
ReplyDeleteI love using olive oil. Stopping by from the WW hop, come say hi!
ReplyDeleteYou can actually use the vinegar to rinse your whole body off when you shower. You don't smell like vinegar when you get out, plus it is so beneficial to all of your skin. We just use the cheaper white vinegar for a whole body splash. Don't rinse.
ReplyDeleteForgot to mention heard about you on twinkly Tuesday..
ReplyDeleteThanks for such a great list. No matter what I have on hand, I can give my hair a little love with all your suggestions! Can you mix ingredients together for an extra awesome treatment, like honey, greek yogurt and coconut oil?
ReplyDeleteI love to mix them.. I think the greek yogurt and honey would be fantastic together!!
DeleteI love all these tips!! I remember hearing that Marie Helvin used to use olive il on her skin — and just LOOK how amazing she still looks at 60+! Thanks so much for linking up with #TwinklyTuesday

DeleteI have the fussiest of hair. It's dry, coarse, frizzy and normally a nightmare to deal with. I've tried pretty much any hair product, but the ONLY things that actually works for my hair is coconut oil. It's a great list and I hope that more people will discover natural (and better) alternative to the chemical filled products that we can find in the store.
ReplyDeleteGreat tips! I never would have thought to put some of these in my hair. I'm saving this because I have long hair and it could use a little TLC!

ReplyDeleteI find that it is so much better to use natural, DIY hair care products like these on my hair than many of the commercial products on the market. Thank you for sharing your safe and effective natural hair masks with us at the Healthy Happy Green and Natural Party! I am pinning and sharing!
ReplyDeleteThis is my first time on Stumbleupon- thanks for bringing me here. The hair advice is useful; I swim so my hair is always dry.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite is the egg hair mask, and I discovered it by accident. We had an egg contest (I know, strange) with the kids and I ended up with egg all over my head. I took a shower and my hair actually felt great! Been doing it (the mask, not the contest!) eversince :-)
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried avocado oil or almond oil yet, mostly because I don't have those in the house. Thanks for posting. Hello from Healthy, Happy, Green & Natural.
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful all natural ideas for hair care. Some of these I have never even heard of.
