Last night, my hubby left for another business trip {gosh, he just got back} but hey, when it's just the kids and me, we eat a bit lighter and my recipes become much simpler.
Heidi had asked for burgers but I was out of buns and not wanting to grill or go to the store. I remembered I had frozen some turkey meatballs and had rolls of mini biscuits.
Light bulb!
Using meatballs and biscuits to make mini burgers or sliders was quick and easy. Plus, they were the perfect size for my kids little hands. I added barbecue sauce to the meatballs for a little extra flavor. I seriously could have eaten these all on my own they were so good!
Ingredients:
- 10 Meatballs, homemade or store bought
- 2 cans of mini biscuit dough (10 in each can, 20 total)
- Barbecue sauce or your choice sauce
Directions:
- Cook or reheat meatballs in sauce
- Bake biscuits according to label instructions
- Once cooked, cut meatballs and biscuits in half
- Place meatball halves in biscuits, cover and enjoy!
These are quite different, will be good as an appetizer for my next gathering. Thank you for the recipe :)
ReplyDeleteYummm....is the word. Definitely a must try! :)

ReplyDeleteThey look yummy! It's a great finger food would be great for a cookout. The meatballs could stay warm in the slow cooker.

ReplyDeleteWhat do you mean by, biscuits in a can?
ReplyDeletelol Charles, thank you for noticing that mistake.... biscuit dough that comes in the aluminum rolls. Of course, anyone is welcome to make their own biscuits.

ReplyDeleteMy husband would love this! Biscuits and meatballs is a great combo I never thought to use. I would just eat all the biscuits with BBQ sauce on them though since I don't eat meatballs haha.

ReplyDeleteThese little sliders sound delicious! Thanks for sharing at What'd You Do This Weekend?!
ReplyDeleteHa, my daughter M had sliders for dinner tonight. (She refused to join me and her sister in eating shepherd's pie.) I, too, was out of rolls, but I just found a batter bread recipe online that worked quite well.
