Cinnamon Salted Caramel Apple Chips

So now that Fall is in full swing {at least the calendar says it is because it sure still feels like Summer up in here} I'm busting out the Autumn recipes and getting down in the kitchen with apples, pumpkins and squashes, and even using my oven more.

I've been a huge fan of apple crisps and chips for years now. I think they're the perfect treat for when I'm craving something sweet and crunchy but want to stay on the healthy side. And who doesn't like a caramel apple every now and again, huh? These bad boys are so darn good, who needs a whole caramel apple when you can eat apple chips? And there simple to make, too! A perfect Fall treat that everyone will love.

Ingredients:
  • 2-4 Golden Delicious apples, or any green apples
  • cinnamon
  • caramel topping
  • sea salt
Method:
  • Cut apples into 1/8 in slices and put onto a baking sheet lined with foil or parchment paper
  • Sprinkle cinnamon over apple slices
  • Bake for 40 minutes at 300 degrees, then turn over slices and bake for an additional 30 minutes
  • Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes
  • Drizzle room temperature caramel topping over apple slices
  • Sprinkle sea salt over caramel and let sit for 10 minutes
  • Enjoy!!
