Saturday at Legoland!

Happy Monday! Over the weekend, my hubs and I took the kids to Legoland, one of their favorite theme parks. The weather was absolutely perfect, there were no crowds, and my kids were on their best behavior. We only live about 45 minutes from the park, so this was an easy, relaxed trip full of excitement and family fun. With my husband working in Europe so often, taking the time for us to go out and spend some family time together is so important. I couldn't have asked for a better day spent with my little family. Here are some of my favorite pics from the day!

Have you been to any of the Legoland parks?? Did you know there are over 20 locations worldwide? And how cool would it be to be a Legoland builder?
Have a wonderful week!

DIY Bottle Cap Coasters

How cute are these bottle cap coasters?! My mom made my brother bottle cap coasters for a Christmas gift using caps from all his favorite beers and I just loved them! Well, I don't drink beer or soda, so I didn't have colorful caps to use, however, using caps from drinks you like definitely give these coasters a personalized feel and look. These coasters are super easy to make at home and make a great gift... especially for that special man in your life.

You'll only need three supplies for this craft...
  • Bottle caps {check out these custom caps}
  • Cork board {like this}
  • Hot glue
You'll need to buy or collect enough caps for the amount of coasters you plan to make, so make sure to plan ahead... I bought 2 packs of 16 caps that made 4 coasters. Design the caps on the cork board and draw markings so you know where to cut. Cut out the shape you want for your coaster using a knife.

If you're using store bought caps like the ones I used, you can apply the hot glue directly to the cap. If you use caps you've collected, you might need to cut pieces of cork board and place them inside the caps so that you can glue the caps directly to the board. And that's it, you'll be done and have some pretty amazing coasters to use!
