While going through my mom's closet, I discovered the coolest thing. And if I'm being honest, I was a bit upset over the fact that she had been keeping it from me since putting it together. This thing is simply genius! A simple, inexpensive and aesthetically pleasing way to hang your scarves -or belts, ties, & hats- so that they are not falling onto the ground or hidden in a drawer. I'm all for new and inexpensive ways to organize anything, especially a closet. I almost feel bad for not coming up with this idea myself. If you're like my mom and have a plethora of scarves {I really had no idea she had soooo many scarves}, or anything that you want on display and out of a drawer but have a hard time hanging, than this is the closet organizing diy for you.
Keeping things real simple, here's what you need:
- Shower curtain rings
- A rod - my mom is super into nature, so she used a thick branch from her yard, which adds some character
- A set of towel hooks
What you'd do:
- Find a spot to hang your scarf hanger
- Attach the two towel hooks at a distance from each other that works for you
- Slide rings on your rod or branch and lay it across the towel hooks
- Add your scarves -or ties, hats, belt- to the shower curtain rings and organize
What do think? This is a pretty easy diy that can transform how you hang those tough items in your closet. I for one will be making one this weekend for all those random pieces that I don't want to place in a drawer but have a hard time hanging up. How do you hang your scarves?
Actually this is a neat idea. I have soooooo many scarfs that I fear are filling up one of my dressers so much that my husband is complaining. Totally would save space for me. Excellent tip and this is totally cute. I really like that your mom wanted more nature to hers. Plus off it's super cheap and easy to make! Yay!!!
ReplyDeleteI say this because I usually wreck any DIY projects. Lol.
