So, you guys, there are so many ideas for master bedrooms out there that my mind is sort of spinning! I mean, I've had a few different master bedroom looks over the years, but I feel like now is the time to go all out. I'm in my 30's afterall, I should have a real grown up mom room lol. With that said, I want it all... #givemeallthemasters! But honestly, if you haven't already noticed, I'm really into the soft, feminine (sorry hubs), neutral tones look that is sweeping across blogs and Pinterest alike. So here's what I'm thinking, give or take a few from these pics...
...a totally large, upholstered headboard and many shades of gray! I have light hardwood floors in my room, so the wall color needs to be light enough with a beige or pink undertone that the walls don't look blue- no baby blue! I have one large window and two side windows, so long white drapes are a must. I have a trey ceiling in there, so I'm thinking of painting that and making it pop.. what do you think? Too much?
What I'm looking for is a space that I can relax in without it feeling too fancy. It really needs to be kid resistant lol and functional. The master bedroom is probably going to be the last space we work on, since we still have the guest room, office, and basement to tackle. But I can't wait to share the end project once we finish!

Grey is such a wonderful color to use because it's so versatile. All of these look great. Good luck in narrowing down your options!
ReplyDeleteLove this. My mom just painted her living room in a similar color except it was called "Greige" aka Grey & Beige. It's a really nice, neutral color!
ReplyDeleteI love the first one! I am definitely going with a grey for our master look!

ReplyDeleteWe are working on our master right now. I have the furniture and we went with grays as you pictured but I have struggled with the finishing touches. These gave me some new ideas. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI wish so bad that I had an upholstered headboard! These pictures just make me want to redo everything in my room. Also, we painted with Sherwin Williams Worldly Grey and LOVE it. Check it out.
