Replenish Color Treated Hair with HASK

If you follow me on Instagram, then you may have seen that I had my hair cut and colored before I left for Hawaii earlier this month. Unfortunately, it was totally botched and left me angry and feeling self conscience about my appearance. Since I had gotten my hair colored the day before I left, I was unable to get it fixed before my vacation... which only angered me more, since I had envisioned looking a certain way in photos while there -which is shallow but true.

Once I returned from Hawaii and had my hair re-colored and corrected {Hello subtle ombre!}, it had been way processed and was falling out, breaking at the ends and just not healthy. I knew I needed a fix and a product that was made purposefully for colored hair. I turned to the HASK Kalahari Melon Oil Color Protection collection to not only nourish my color treated hair, but to shield it from more damage.

The HASK Kalahari Melon Oil Color Protection collection is formulated with Color Shield Complex, which helps protect color-treated hair from damage and fading caused by everyday washing and heat styling. The line features a Shampoo, Conditioner, Deep Conditioner and Shine Oil. The Kalahari melon is a powerhouse ingredient that counteracts moisture loss and fading, leaving color-treated hair healthy and vibrant. And as always, HASK hair care products are free of sulfates, parabens, phthalates, gluten, drying alcohol and artificial colors.

I can't tell you how much these products have helped heal my hair after so much styling. My hair feels stronger, softer and smoother, especially after I apply the shine treatment after each wash. This really helps to seal in moisture before heat styling my hair. Also, it smells really nice, with a light, fresh fruity scent. I was truly in need of a product that would replenish my hair, and thanks to HASK, I can now go in public with the confidence that my hair looks healthy.

What do you use on your hair after it has been color treated?? Have you tried any other of the HASK hair collections?

How to Get Those Brows on Point

I'm so excited to be sharing this product with you today. Over the last couple of months, I have received emails and comments about my eyebrows {of all things} and I thought now was a good time to share some of my secrets. I have always been a little obsessed with my brows and have been known to pay way too much attention to them. Back in the early 2000's, when super thin brows were "the thing," I went a little over board and tweezed a little too much. Needless to say, once I learned a thing or two about proper eyebrow shaping and care at esthetician school, I grew those bad boys back out. However, anyone who has over tweezed will tell you that your brows will never grow in the same again. Thanks to eye brow pencils, I'm able to get that full look, even if my hair doesn't want to cooperate. And thanks to Billion Dollar Brows, my eyebrows are always on point.

Have you heard of Billion Dollar Brows? Well, they have just released their newest obsession, the Brows on Point Micro Pencil. This brow pencil has a self-sharpening, ultra fine tip which allows you to actually mimic the look of individual brow hairs for natural-looking results. It's waterproof formula goes on like a dream and stays in place at the beach, pool, and gym; which, let me just say, has been fantastic for those days when I take spin class and I'm drenched. Now available in four amazing shades {Blonde, Light Brown, Taupe, and Raven}, these colors coordinate perfectly with BDB powders for ultra-customized brows. And as a bonus, each pencil comes with a brush for shaping. My tip, once you color in your brows and brush through, spritz a little hair spray on for an all day hold.

Eyebrows are one of the most important features of our faces, and yet, they are often the most neglected. That doesn't have to be you. BDB products are affordable and easy to use. It's super easy to get that Billion Dollar Brow and have people wondering how you got your brows on point. What's your brow secret? Do you obsess over your brows, or is it just me?

Out & Around Waikiki

I was just going through the pictures from our trip to Hawaii and thought I'd share some of the randoms. Staying in Waikiki is always a good time because there is so much to do and nice beaches for the kids. We usually didn't take the camera down to the beach with us, so most of these pictures are with my phone. This week has been so crazy {and it's only Thursday!} and I'm just wishing I was still in the water holding my baby... sigh. Anywho, we sold our house today {yay}, so I'm just hoping my house hunting trip in Chicago goes well next week!! My brain is kind of a mess right now lol but when is it not?!

Have a super Thursday!

Here are some other recent posts on our trip to Oahu!!

The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch

I wrote, yesterday, about how the fam and I took a little trip to San Diego over the weekend. On our way back home on Sunday, we stopped off at one of my favorite places, the Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch. It is the most beautiful sight during the Spring months in Southern California. I only live about 45 minutes from the fields and enjoy coming down each year.

The weather couldn't have been better, truly, for it to be 80 and clear at the beach is always a treat. Since it was the weekend, it was super crowded, but totally worth it. An interesting fact about the fields... they do sell the flowers but the main point to growing them is to harvest the seeds. I had no idea until I overheard one of the farmers there telling a child. I thought that was really interesting. Anywho, if you're ever in the San Diego area between March and May, you should really try to stop by and have a look. The views alone are worth it!

Have a wonderful day!
