Chicago Children's Museum

Happy first week of January! I hope this post finds you happy, rested and ready to take on the new year. Yesterday, we took the kids into the city to Navy Pier. The weather was rainy but not nearly as cold as we have been experiencing, which is nice. We thought we'd take advantage of the "warmer" weather -if you can call high 30's/low 40's warmer- and venture out of the house. We decided to experience the Chicago Children's Museum since we'd yet to take the brood. Let me just say, I was a little worried that it would be crazy busy since it was still considered a holiday. But even though there were a lot of people in the museum, it was more than big enough to house everyone.

I thought the Chicago Children's Museum was really a fantastic place for young children. There was a little bit of everything, from science to pretend play to art. My boys had a wonderful time and didn't want to leave. However, Heidi, who's 10, thought it was a bit boring and too immature. I'd have to agree, that the age range for the museum is probably maxed out at 10. Overall though, it was bright, colorful, and offered many exciting rooms for the boys to explore, play, and learn. We have memberships to all the Chicagoland museums so I know we will be making many more trips to this one again!

Have a wonderful week~
